Dr Ravi Kumar R serves as Associate Director of the Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Program at Gleneagles Global Hospital, Chennai. He has extensive experience in managing complex cardiac cases and has been involved in co-managing more than 200 heart transplant and heart failure patients during his tenure at Fortis Malar and Gleneagles Global Hospital. His expertise includes advanced heart failure care and transplant coordination with a strong focus on clinical outcomes.

He has played a key role in introducing advanced treatment protocols such as novel immunosuppression strategies, induction therapy, pre-operative management of heart failure–induced cardiorenal syndrome, and structured post-operative rejection protocols in heart transplant patients. He also runs heart failure clinics across Adyar, Pune, Mumbai, and Gurgaon and is an active member of ISHLT and its Heart Transplant Council, contributing to global advancements in transplant cardiology.
