I am Dr. Aabha Nagral, a senior Hepatologist and Pediatric Liver Specialist dedicated to providing advanced and compassionate care for patients with liver diseases. Over the past 27 years, I have focused on treating complex liver conditions in both adults and children, including liver transplantation. My goal is to make healthcare approachable and effective while guiding families through every step of diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.

About Dr. Aabha Nagral

Dr. Aabha Nagral is one of India’s leading hepatologists based in Mumbai, with over 27 years of experience in managing liver diseases and liver transplantation. She is trained as a Gastroenterologist from KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and has completed advanced fellowships in liver diseases and transplantation from Royal Free Hospital and King’s College Hospital, London, UK, as well as Mayo Clinic, USA. Dr. Nagral has been instrumental in establishing the first liver transplant programs at Jaslok Hospital and Apollo Hospital, Mumbai, and was involved in the first successful pediatric liver transplant in Western India.

Dr. Aabha Nagral is also a dedicated academic and social contributor. She has delivered more than 500 lectures and published around 100 papers, including textbook chapters, at national and international forums. She serves as the chairperson of the liver committee of the ZTCC, Mumbai, is a member of the ROTTO-SOTTO liver committee, and has been Secretary and President of the Maharashtra Chapter of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology. As a founding trustee of the Children’s Liver Foundation, she works to raise awareness about pediatric liver disorders and support affected families. She continues to contribute to research, advisory boards, and national and international professional societies, shaping the field of Hepatology and Pediatric Liver care in India.
